Because Motherwort tends to be bitter, it is not usually drunk as a tea.  Instead it tends to be taken as a tincture. Motherwort eases anxiety and soothes the nerves. It allows space for a deep breath, can help with anxiety attacks, and helps to calm down the overwhelmed. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and those on heart rate or blood-thinning medications should avoid motherwort unless cleared by a medical professional
